why:
While developing a web based interface using PHP the need arose to
share sessions between servers. I implimented this by storing the
sessions in a MySQL database. Then came the problem of reading the
sessions from Perl. I found the PHP::Session module on CPAN and it
worked great only it reads from the file system, not a MySQL
database. So I modfied the PHP::Session module and created
PHP::MySQL_Session useing the same session serializer as
PHP::Session .
