rationale:
I would welcome any suggestions on the namespace. I was unable to
find a rootlevel namespace that this would fit into--I didn't see
any rootlevel namespace dealing with IR devices, and the Device
namespace appears to address more general interfaces.
I have requested listing in the Hardware chapter, but User
Interface maybe appropriate as well.
In terms of why this should be listed: there are no modules listed
which provide a simple interface to the lirc device.
