Tie::VecArray is restricted to dealing with network byte order, as
well as only holding integers.
Tie::CArray is a big beast that requires compilation, and appears
to not be under active development.
Tie::CharArray could conceivable be considered to be a special case
of this module.
This module is meant to be a pure perl, simple tool for
manipulating packed arrays of a given simple C type through the
normal Perl array interface.
