rationale:
I am revisiting a timer application I have written, see
http://perlmonks.org/index.pl?node_id=210207
A spinoff from the rewrite will be the module Tk::Timer. In the
processes of my researches, I have come across Tk::Clock.pm, whose
analog display functionality I quite like.
However, Clock.pm only gives you the current system time. I have
contacted the author of this module (H Merijn Brand) to see if there
are any enhancements in the pipeline.
Even if Clock.pm is enhanced (either by Merijn or myself), there is
still a need for a separate Timer.pm composite widget to provide a
button, extra configuration, and functionality of the timer.
