This module is specific to the Gnu C Compiler. I forsee several
other modules filling this namespace in the future, especially with
this one as a building-block.
There are several efforts underway to extract useful information
from GCC to use in interfacing with other languages -- specifically
see the .NET projects. Also see gccxml.org for another attempt at
making this GCC data accessible in an especially portable way.
