The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List:

  modid:       BSD::Socket::Splice
  DSLIP:       bdpfp
  description: Perl interface to OpenBSD socket splicing
  userid:      BLUHM (Alexander Bluhm)
  chapterid:   4 (Operating_System_Interfaces)

  rationale:

    The BSD::Socket::Splice module implements a Perl interface to
    OpenBSD socket splicing. Socket splicing allows to transfer network
    data from on socket to another without copy. See SO_SPLICE in
    http://www.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/man.cgi?query=setsockopt
    BSD::Socket::Splice encapsulates the setsockopt() call with XS.

    The BSD:: namespace already exists, Linux and AIX splice work
    differently.

The resulting entry would be:

BSD::Socket::
::Splice bdpfp Perl interface to OpenBSD socket splicing BLUHM
