rationale:
This module allows simplified packaging of Perl modules for the
Exherbo Linux distro. There are few Perl modules packaged, as
writing exheres (think Gentoo ebuilds) is trivial and repetitive,
and there's a relatively small group of developers. A module like
this will ideally encourage and simplify Perl module packaging.
The root level namespace may not be necessary, however it would be
nice to have when Paludis gets Perl hooks, so that other modules
that integrate with Exherbo's package manager can fall into this
namespace as well.
