why:
I have developed various Perl scripts and packages for research in
the field of natural language processing, e.g. the Perl API for the
IMS Corpus Workbench (http://cwb.sourceforge.net/doc_perl.php), the
UCS package for collocation research, an n-gram classifier for
boilerplate removal from Web pages, and an SQLite-based indexer for
the Google Web 1T 5-Gram Database. I want to make these software
packages more easily accessible by putting them on CPAN. The first
contribution will be the CWB/Perl API.
