The namespace is dictated by PerlIO conventions, and unicodeeol is
meant to imply both its functionality and serve as a tip of the hat
to Audrey Tang's PerlIO::eol. This module is designed to normalize
everything to \n on input and do nothing on output, while
PerlIO::eol aims to standardize both input and output, but not
necessarily to \n.
