rationale:
This is a new Tk widget specifically designed to handle login to
any DBI compliant database. Whilst there are some DBDs which don't
require a login to the database, there are many that do, such as DB2
and Oracle. This widget will list all installed drivers and allow
you to select your preferred driver thence prompt you for username,
password, instance detail. It will also work back through the DBI
error handling frame work to report login errors. This dialog is
designed to be used with any Tk application which wishes to interact
with one or more databases, providing the developer with a generic
login approach.
