why:
I have finished working through "Learning Perl" by Randall Schwartz
and just started reading "Intermediate Perl" by the same author. As
this book will teach me how to write Perl modules, I would like to
acquire a PAUSE ID so that I might publish my work in the future
(and because Randall told me that I will need a PAUSE ID later in
the book). I plan on using Perl for all sorts of things, ranging
from infrastructure automation to developing cli, web and desktop
applications. I enjoy contributing to open source projects and will
likely contribute to existing modules where desired, or write my own
modules where I feel that they would be of use.
