why:
I would like to contribute a time notation module. It would accept
time as follows:
For a specific time/date: y2022m12d4h20m32s36 (4 December 2022
8:32:36pm) For a monthly repeat: Md4h20m32s36 (the 4th day of every
month at 8:32:36pm) Identical meaning: d4h20m32s36
For the 3rd day of every week: wd3 For the 3rd quarter of every
year: Q3
Everything left of the adjacent letters form a repeat
specification. Everything right of the adjacent letters form a
specific time.
When there are no adjacent letters, a default adjacent letter is
presumed at the left end: CD, Cy, yQ, yM, Mw, Md, dh, hm, ms
(Century-Decade, Century-year, year-Quarter, year-Month, Month-week,
Month-day, day-hour, hour-minute, minute-second)
I use it for a shopping planner that I've been using & developing.
And, I have used it for a task planner.
I doubt that it currently meets CPAN standards, so I expect that I
will need to do a decent amount of massaging to get it to meet the
standards (if it is even reasonable to attempt to get it ready for
submission).
In the meantime, I'll be reading up on the expectations for CPAN
submissions.
