After being introduced to Perl at my job 5ish years ago I have
found myself down a rabbit hole where I have some Perl modules
written for my own purposes as well as some changes for myself to
some common perl console apps (for example, from perlpowertools, I
have a version of 'clear' which accounts for several more scenarios
and I am working on a new command 'hex' to support encoding and
decoding similar to the 'base64' command). Perl is nice one you get
used to it and is compatible across many systems for many uses. I do
not know if any of my code is actually ready for many outside perl
developers but I think at this point I would like to make an effort
to release some of it and see.
