Cool, I just found http://code.google.com/p/modwsgi/wiki/IntegrationWithDjango#Integration_With_Django so in the meantime I'm going to start and go through that as the djangoproject site hasn't helped me get this fixed...if you see something I've done that "not right" with my files below feel free to let me know.
