(The line I posted above is from /var/log/apache2/error.log at LogLevel info) @Graham like I posted I checked all the points in there: Python Shared Library -Found. Using ModPython and ModWsgi -ModPython is not loaded/available. Others don't apply. Unfortunately my debian apache does not seem to have compiled with debugging symbols enabled. So unless someone has another idea I'll try mod_python instead.
