Django and other python-like web frameworks lag appreciably between Rails at least in the number of jobs available in the commercial world. I understand this is a bit off topic, but you seem to be an extremely knowledgeable person in the Python community. My experience with Django has been extremely favorable. Django has some real advantages over Rails, such as the admin interface. What's your theory as to why python web frameworks don't seem to be getting traction in the corporate community. Newspapers like the washington post have embraced Django, and it's made an immense improvement on their site.
