Yeah, this is turning out to be no trivial task on Fedora either.  I have
gone so far as to download the source rpm, extract and install it so I could
access the httpd.spec along with configuration files.  And when I run
./configure --with-mpm=worker it complains about not finding configure in
the BUILD/httpd-2.2.17/pcre directory.  And I am of the notion this is a bug
in the httpd.spec script.

Once in a while. life would be so much easier if we compiled and installed
from source instead of relying on the binary repositories.

I am waiting for word from my distro.
