The --enable-shared option is a an option to the ‘configure’ script of Python
when installing it, not to the ‘configure’ script for mod_wsgi.
You thus need to reinstall your Python installation from fresh source code.

Ignore that it says for Docker, all still relevant. It mentions about shared
libraries in it.
