I replaced the hose on my 2005 Roadster after tracking down the smell of
petrol to the perished hose. Cost �100. �16 /year in hoses!
A few weeks after fitting it, the battery cable shorted out at a point
about 18" from the hose. The resulting fire burnt through the brake
hoses, so if the perished pipe had still been there, it would have been
an even more interesting few minutes!
