Hi Colin My 95 +8 doesn't show MIL error lights on the dash from the 14CUX . It can only display errors with a plug in display, mind you 5 drive cycles seemed to clear my problem.
I have a new Pilote motorhome and when we took it skiing this year we had overnight temperatures of -19c not a problem with living in this van as it is designed for low temps, but driving back the MIL light came on. Van was driving ok so ignored it. After a couple of fuel stops and overnight stops the light went out. When I got back to the UK I had it checked out and it was frozen water in diesel on startup, not surprising as at -19 it was a bit lumpy until warmed up. May consider the option with the Alde system I have in the van to install a reverse heat exchanger to keep the engine heated from the domestic system . Looking forward to using t his van full time when I r+**re Richard M800RGN+8 Sent from my HTC ----- Reply message ----- From: "e-mail colin.jones5857" <[email protected]> Date: Sun, Jul 1, 2012 19:59 Subject: [mogtalk2] One for the +8 doctors To: "mogtalk2" <[email protected]> Requires 5 'drive cycles' to put the MIL light out, simple to do and normal use will do it anyway, it does not however erase the stored fault code for 'multiple misfire'.
