Anybody interested in more classic car racing in France? The Circuit des Remparts around Angouleme in mid-September is a really excellent event. Held during three days, there is a Concours d'Elegance on Friday evening, a tour of the Charente region on Saturday and races through the streets of the city on Sunday. Due to family commitments, I'll not be going this year, but for anyone interested go to http://www.circuit-des-remparts.com/ I can also recommend an out of town hotel, which doesn't inflate it's prices for that particular weekend.
