If Graham – or anyone else – would like a copy of the Mog 13 ‘Flyer’ let me
know – off group please – and I will send them a copy of the printer’s proof
(it’s just over 650 kb so too big to post here)

There are a couple of updates to this:

The flyer mentions a ‘possible’ two night extension to Hotel Hermitage,
Montreuil sur Mer – this is no longer a ‘possible’ part - it is a definite
one, and we have a provisional price of £360 per couple to include cross
Channel ferry, two nights in a twin or double room, breakfast and a couple
of rather good evening meals – I am sure that those who stayed there
en-route from Le Mans to Assen will confirm the quality of the evening
meals, and next year we will use the same traiteur as we used earlier this
month (and we expect that Eric will still be manning the bar – those that
know Eric will understand why he gets mention here!)

The other information not included is the registration fee for the event.
We have managed to negotiate a very good deal with UKC (University of Kent
Canterbury) where the event will be based. This means we can charge the
rather appropriate sum of £13.00 per car – which will give a goody bag with
rally plaque etc, and access for the member and all passengers to all parts
of the event (other than those for which a specific charge applies).

And it all gives me something to do whilst waiting for Le Mans Classic 2014!

Quentin

The Autosolo was, yet again, great fun. And with it being spread over the
weekend (I ran on Sunday a.m.) there was far less pressure than in previous
years.

Did the first track drive on Saturday a.m., spotting possible new Range
Rovers on the way in to the Emissions Track, then spent a few hours signing
people in to various events / museum tickets etc.

All in all a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. Forgot to pick up a 'brochure'
for 2013, but that weekend is usually a busy one for me anyway.

Well done to all those involved in putting the event on, plus the sponsors,
volunteers etc. Not forgetting BMIHT themselves for the use of the site!

Cheers,

Graham W

>>> So what's the news gossip and scandal from Gaydon this last weekend?
Regret I was not able to be there.

My Sunday perspective (although I did not arrive until 12:00 as I had to
collect the Pitstop Challenge car and cruise down with a large trailer
behind the Disco) - just as well really, as I had a trial drive in the
Morgan on Saturday and I am still struggling to drive it comfortably.

- You missed an excellent Pitstop challenge. No nails were broken, no wheels
dropped and the carefully designed bogey side-light proved to be the
decision maker.
- I had a small amount of time to watch the Autosolo and all I can remember
is the grins on the faces of the competitors.
- The concours cars (Those that were left by the time I had a chance for a
look) were splendid.
- It rained - a bit - not enough to spoil the day.
- Mrs F. stayed home.
- I did not buy anything - which is sad really - especially as Mrs F. was
not there to supervise.
- I hope Brian Downing got some good pictures for Miscellany - as when I got
in the car for the drive home, I realised that my camera had not left my
pocket.

Best regards

Paul
