Martyn Thank you, the paint has faired surprisingly well over my ownership and the previous owners. Suspect as you suggest that once the new touching up mixes with the old body work I may not be as happy. I just don't want to mess around with respraying for a few more years, I like keeping it originalish.

Richard As far as I know, yes it is a Ford colour. An older paint chappy at an accident repairers would be who I'd check with, I've had some pretty sterling advice on paint over the years. Have you tried Googling the colour code? May give you the answer Do be aware, that if it is the Ford colour, it has a reputation for really fading and new paint could well be a quite different colour than the body.
