Derek - it does sound as if the car found you, not you found it, which is always the best way.
Many Morgans have been coated in Waxoil from birth, no cause for concern, and as you say, the mogtalk *Poirot*s have identified that it comes from a good home. Always an encouraging sign. Once it is home, I suggest you make the most of the summer/autumn whatever the weather, and take the car for a few good runs. Any issues etc will come to light then. The take it to Morgan Dealer for a fully service.
