Anybody out there ever read "Parkinson's Law"? It was written in the late 1950's I think. There is a brilliant chapter on a disease called Injelitis (I think) which affects organisations. The end result is that organisations are full of busy people who are so busy that they need more staff but little or no useful activity takes place. I see lots of people with the title "manager" who are not making decisions in the interest of the business that pays them of or in the interests of the team they lead. The only thing they are managing is their own carreer path.
