there is already an example in mon-0.99.2/etc/example.cf, but for
the sake of expediency, here you have it:
watch hostname
service fping
monitor fping.monitor
interval 1m
service smtp
monitor smtp.monitor
interval 5m
depend hostname::fping
service pop3
monitor pop3.monitor
interval 5m
depend hostname::fping
add alerts as you see fit. there is also a manual page found in the
"doc" directory. have a look.
