Below is an example of how we use it here:
watch xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
service ping
description ping to xxx
interval 3m
monitor fping.monitor
period wd {Sun-Sat}
alert hpov.alert -o 2001 -i 111
alertevery 30m
upalert hpov.alert -o 2002 -i 111
comp_alertsYou'll need to configure HPOV to receive and display these alerts. The alert script hpov.alert uses the HPOV program "ovevent" to send the trap; if your installation of mon is on a machine where HPOV is not installed, this may present a problem (and hence, the need for a more generic snmptrap-based alert script). Attached is a more recent version of hpov.alert, with a few minor bug fixes, and the addition of another parameter (the "-i" argument). It should replace the version currently in contrib. -- Scott Scott Prater Dpto. Sistemas [EMAIL PROTECTED] SERVICOM 2000 Av. Primado Reig, 189 entlo. 46020 Valencia - Spain Tel.
