"I'm thinking of coding a patch to mon to include the state of ACK'd services in the saved state. My problem is that if I ACK a service and my mon server gets rebooted for some reason, it will start paging people on alerts that were already acknowledged."
ACK state still does not seem to be kept in mon-1-0-0pre4, so my question is; is anyone working on this already?
Try using the development version from the sourceforge CVS respository. It has full scheduler state saving capability.
I think there is still a small bug with saving ACKs, where sometimes it looses the ACK during a reload, but I'd say it currently works 99% of the time...
