Hi Raul, The mon.cgi tree that I've been working from is based on Arthur K. Chan's mon.cgi from 2001. I have tried to contact him over the last year when I 1st started making my initial changes, but there was no response.
As for the version number, I see how this can cause some confusion so I'll move up the version number because this is still from the same code base as what Arthur had originally released. My changes are still keeping his work in tact and I don't want to give the impression this is a whole new project. Chan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> mon.cgi? His mon.cgi comes with mon in Mandrake Linux 10.1. The problem I see so far is that both projects has the same name "mon.cgi" and his version is 1.52. OTOH, the Changes file has the latest date in 2001. You mon.cgi looks like an improved Chan's mon.cgi. So, I would like to ask you to either change the name of your cgi (if they are not related) or bump your version number to something higher (e.g. 2.0, 1.9.5, ...). I don't want to look like rude, but I found out about your project yesterday in freshmeat and the first impression I got was "this freshmeat guys with older software releases....". I guess more people thought the same. -Raul Dias On Thu, 2004-12-16 at 08:49 -0800, Ryan Clark wrote: > Hey guys, > > Well, I've been busy working on Mon.cgi over the last week or so and here's > another release, here's a small list of changes/updates I've made for the > 0.5 release. > > > Configuration: > - added $zebra_table var in to mon.cgi.cf > > Logic Changes: > - moved CSS links to headers > - moved JavaScript in to the headers > - added var for zebra_table > - cleaned up login support > > Format Changes: > - cleaned up splash page to be Valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional! > (Note: I'll work on the rest of the interface to become XHTML over > time, but this is no small task by the way this was written) > - added XHTML validation link > > > Project Information: > > Project Page - http://www.ryanclark.org/projects/moncgi/ > Changelog - http://www.ryanclark.org/files/mon.cgi/ChangeLog > Demo - http://www.ryanclark.org/cgi-bin/mon.cgi > Current build: > Gzip - http://www.ryanclark.org/files/mon.cgi/mon.cgi-0.5.tar.gz > Bzip2 - http://www.ryanclark.org/files/mon.cgi/mon.cgi-0.5.tar.bz2 > > > Enjoy, > > -- > Ryan Clark, MCP > System Administrator > The Internet Marketing Center > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > 604-730-2833 Ext 234 > > > _______________________________________________ > mon mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://linux.kernel.org/mailman/listinfo/mon -- Raul Dias <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> _______________________________________________ mon mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://linux.kernel.org/mailman/listinfo/mon _______________________________________________ mon mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://linux.kernel.org/mailman/listinfo/mon
