I'm looking for a monitor to test our CUPS server for problems; disabled printers (printer state)... the usual statistics here. I can use the lpd.monitor like the following: "./lpd.monitor -h x.y.tld -p 631" which does tell me if the cups server is or is not running, however it doesn't tell me if one of the printers is offline or if it's not accepting jobs, which is important.
