downloaded everything without problems.

Now, I am not at home, so I can't test the commands. However, it seems
really very simple.

But compilations are easier in Linux. Everything comes installed by
default. I have never compiled a C program in Windows. My single
attempt failed. Of course, I can study it, but before this effort, I
ask you: even for Windows, isn't there a binary package? At the
address you sent me, I could found only a zip and a tar.gz files
containing the sources.
