I'll try but I'm not sure that it's possible, it seems to be only
groff-specific issue to treat minus as hyphen.

May be it's better to try to patch pandoc.

I'll try it with pandoc 1.9.4.2-2 from sid, maybe it knows groff
better than 1.5 :)
