[Mongrel] Bad Client Errors

I've gone through the mailing list archives and looked through all the docs I could find but I still can't figure out exactly what's going on with my Mongrel that it gives the following error:

[Timestamp]: BAD CLIENT ( 127.0.0.1): Invalid HTTP format, parsing fails

I'm running Cygwin 1.5.20-1, Ruby 1.8.4, and WinXP. I'd appreciate any help on getting it up and running.
