Maybe introducing non-redirecting version and making it a build-time or run-time option with a remark nearby to provide feedback and keeping it for release or two might help? Making choice helps clean code, considering backwards compatibility certainly doesn't... but those breaking it often tend to get frowned upon. :) I'll ask users of ALT Linux monit package on sysadmins ML what do they think of this; if there will be any reasonable feedback, I'll try to translate and forward it back. -- ---- WBR, Michael Shigorin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ------ Linux.Kiev http://www.linux.kiev.ua/ ---- Oct 26--27, Kiev, Ukraine: -- http://conference.osdn.org.ua _______________________________________________ monit-dev mailing list monit-dev@nongnu.org http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/monit-dev
