Hi I've followed this conversation and have tested out the instructions. I found an issue with matrixssl while doing so, so I'm adding a solution in the thread.
Matrixssl-3.3.1 does not work out-of-box on my computer. MATRIX_USE_FILE_SYSTEM is undefined in matrixssl/matrixssl.c so the matrixSslLoadRsaKeys function is not compiled. This makes monkey complain about undefined symbols at startup. I solved this by adding -DMATRIX_USE_FILE_SYSTEM to CFLAGS in the matrixssl Makefile. Serving static files worked with Safari and curl after that. Also the plugins for FastCGI and CGI shouldn't work with SSL (Mixed use of mk_api's socket_* and stdlib calls corrupts the connection). I'll try to fix this when I find time to do so.
