You will need to get the mono runtime as well. I have a script that will get everything you need including monodevelop, compile and install it which I have attached. I have only tried it on jaunty but seems to work fine. It is largely based on the instructions found here http://www.centriment.com/2009/04/01/building-mono-24-from-source-on-ubuntu-810/which I suggest you read to try and get familiar with the build process. It seems overwhelming at first but once you have done it a few times it is pretty natural.
Good luck and feel free to ask for more help if you need it. 2009/5/17 Esthony <[email protected]> > > Hi guys im still new on using linux.... i have already downloaded the xsp > 2.4 > and my problem is how would i install it to my ubuntu and if there is some > needed configuration please help me...?? please help i could not use the > repository because i have no internet at home please help me > -- > View this message in context: > http://www.nabble.com/Help-in-XSP2.4-installation-tp23583841p23583841.html > Sent from the Mono - ASP.NET mailing list archive at Nabble.com. > > _______________________________________________ > Mono-aspnet-list mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/mono-aspnet-list >
