I started to look at fixing http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=566241 <http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=566241>but it is a non-trivial fix and probably would not be backported. http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=566152 should be easy to fix and backport, just by using the Windows APIs instead of glib for environment variable access. I can take a look if no one else has/will.
