i dont know what sort of floating point feature the tested application is using
but the configuration line for the mono cross compile looks like that:

EXTRA_OECONF_arm += " --disable-mcs-build --with-mcs-docs=no --with-sgen
--enable-small-config --with-tls=pthread --with-sigaltstack=no
CFLAGS=-DARM_FPU_NONE"

selecting to not use the FPU is always a valid option, am i right?
what option is the probably best one for ARM Cortex-A8 (TI OMAP3)?

after tried to research the keywords in question already and have not found any
sort of documentation the only chance i saw was to initially drive that switch
to the lowest reasonable level.

regards, Alex.
