Then I kindly beg you to consider adding it to "releases from the upstream Mono
Project".

I have mono 2.6.7 installed from binaries on Debian kFreebSD (which is great
indeed), but I want to use the latest version (Mono 2.10). I want to use Mono
for a server application with the new Generation GC (as it helps long running
application perform better) and utilize ZFS from Debian kfreeBSD AMD 64. My
application will be very I/O intensive.

kFreeBSD support is downstream in Debian. It isn't part of releases from
the upstream Mono Project.
