1) You have to map your DllImport to corresponding *nix libraries. I.e. there is no such thing as gdi32.dll there 2) Mono's System.Drawing is quite limited, since it's just a bridge to Cairo library. You can't use high quality smoothing and image scale algorithms for example
Consider using imagemagick instead.
