I have Mono built 0.23, that's not the problem. Once you have it running you get the following, which makes it pretty useless still for usage.
I've been trying to trace back to find out why this is an issue though.

Yup. I've heard tell today that this appears to actually be caused by something in libgc (at least, it doesn't happen if you build without garbage collection). I haven't had time to give it a shot yet, though.
