Also, one thing I did notice is that the _javascript_ was not commented properly for browsers that can not render the _javascript_.
 
The last line in the _javascript_ that is returned appears this way:

In _javascript_ this is the decrement modifier. it should be commented this way
 
//-->
or if the potential */ is not a problem, this way
 
/*-->*/
 
That makes that line a comment for the _javascript_. Now why the first one does not cause a problem (the "<!--") I never found out, but this might be part of the problem.

I should clarify this. The tree doesn't work in IE, and I think it's
this line that's the culprit. All the URLs are being expanded as
"http://./..."
