The user is not passed from apache to mod-mono-server. You can use DigestAuthenticationModule from Mono.Http to authenticate users via xsp instead of apache.
Any reason not to do so ? or is this just a matter of time to get a patch of mod_mono/xsp to communicate more information ? (I may have a look since I have a need to authenticate throught mod_auth_ldap)
