Hm... I *am* running a custom kernel. They are the Fedora kernel sources (so 2.6.8-1.521), but with one option disabled from default (CONFIG_VIDEO_SELECT) because my machine won't boot with that enabled. Otherwise, it is a default installation. The machine is a P-3 500 MHz. In case it is related to this, which packages should I recompile from the source RPMs? Thanks, Ronald -- Ronald S.
