[Mono-list] Taking a screenshot

I've done a bit of searching and I can not find any information on how I can take a screenshot of the current desktop. I can find some information on how to do this under windows, but nothing under mono on linux.  I know I can take a screenshot via a command which then saves it to the hard drive but that is rather slow.  So is there a way in which I can take a screenshot from c#?
