Hello, are there any solutions to create a tar.gz file from a directory under Mono other than running system command 'tar'? I tried SharpZipLib but it doesnt seem to preserve file attributes (all files in created tar file are +x and owned by root regardless of their original setting) - i used sharpziplib compiled from source under windows (VS2008)... i dont see any code that would handle ownership or attribute preservation logic...
