Things like OLE, COM, and WMI don't exist in the *NIX universe, and are a huge part of what makes Powershell such a win. That being said, I can definitely see people wanting to have a Powershell-alike running on their UNIX boxes, executing remoting tasks parceled out from their Windows servers. In the mean time, folks might consider looking at some of the solutions being offered by more traditional scripting languages like Ruby, Python, or Perl. -Chris (Major lurker doing enterprise release engineering work in the Windows world right now.
