Hello, I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 and have followed the installation instructions at:
http://www.mono-project.com/docs/getting-started/install/linux/ <http://www.mono-project.com/docs/getting-started/install/linux/> After doing an apt-get update I then installed the 'mono-complete' package I tried the 'Gtk# Hello World#' example, but when I run 'mcs hello.cs -pkg:gtk-sharp-2.0' I get an error that gtk-sharp-2.0 is not installed. Two questions: Should the mono-complete have installed gtk-sharp-2.0? I ran 'apt-get install gtk-sharp2' which fixed the issue, but during installation it brought up messages about removing packages (sorry I did not catch the detail) Thanks Peter Jones -- View this message in context: http://mono.1490590.n4.nabble.com/Mono-Installation-on-Ubuntu-14-04-tp4663852.html Sent from the Mono - General mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Mono-list maillist - Mono-list@lists.ximian.com http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/mono-list
