Oh, for what it's worth, if you check the class compatibility page http://go-mono.com/status/status.aspx?reference=4.0&profile=4.0&assembly=WindowsBase Some of the classes are broken, but most of them might actually be just fine. So what I said before, about maybe it's stable and doesn't need maintenance, or maybe it's all broken and not getting maintenance - It's probably still worthwhile for you to explore and see if you can make it work with what's already there. To answer your question about the PCL DLL... I have had generally good luck with simply building something on linux, and then copying the DLL over to windows.
