I had the impression that Carbon was the MacOS 9 interface for porting old applications to the new windowing system. But we are still a couple of months away from starting work on MacOS X support. Currently we are in a two month `Get robust' mode for all of the underlying technology. Thanks for the pointer, we will be researching that in the short future.
